Al-Suwaidaa uprising ten months on | Dozens of people participate in mass demonstration, confirming continuation of peaceful uprising

Al-Suwaidaa province: Dozens of people participated in a mass demonstration in Al-Karamah square in Al-Suwaidaa city centre, confirming the continuation of the peaceful uprising against the Syrian regime and its government and reaffirming their demands which are manifested in the toppling of the Syrian regime, the implementation of UN Resolution No.2254 and the release  detainees.

The protesters chanted anti-regime slogans and lifted placards with slogans written on them that read “save Syria’s youth,” “may God never supports those who support the oppressor,” “freedom,” “gathering of the free people of Jabal Al-Arab, may God protect you,” “with its youth, it will be rebuilt,” “youth is the power.”

The peaceful uprising have continued daily in Al-Suwaidaa city centre for the past ten months, where residents have been organized and peaceful in demanding the peaceful transition of power in Syria, the overthrow of the regime, and the release of all detainees. Meanwhile, regime forces have recently intensified their presence in the city, amid  the ongoing uprising against the regime and the Ba’ath Party’s dominance over power, without any genuine signs from the regime and its government of meeting any of the demands of the  peaceful protesters.
