New attack | Leader in “Hajin Military Council” injured and two of his escorts killed in IS*IS attack in Deir Ezzor city

Deir Ezzor province: A leader in “Hajin Military Council,” which operates under the command of SDF, was injured and two of his escorts were killed in an attack by ISIS cells. The attackers, who were on motorcycles, targeted the leader’s vehicle with machineguns in the vicinity of Al-Sha’afah town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.

 

SOHR has documented 131 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks, executions and explosions targeting military and security forces, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 71 fatalities:

 

  • 47 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

 

  • Nine ISIS members.

 

  • Four guards worked for the Autonomous Administration.

 

  • 11 civilians, including a child and a witch.

 

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Deir Ezzor: 110 attacks left 34 combatants, ten civilians, including a child and a witch, and five ISIS members dead.

 

  • Al-Hasakah: 13 attacks left seven combatants, four ISIS members and a civilian dead.

 

  • Al-Raqqah: Eight attacks left six combatants and four guards of civil institutions of the Autonomous Administration dead.
