During fight among young men | Young man stabbed to death in town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: A young man was stabbed several times to death with a knife during a fight among young men in the SDF-held town of Al-Bahrah in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside. The fight, in which bladed weapons were used, followed disputes among the young men.

 

This comes in light of ongoing security chaos in SDF-held area.

 

The Syrian Observatory has documented 60 murder crimes in SDF-controlled areas since early 2024, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while motivations behind the others remained unknown. These murders left 64 civilian fatalities, including 49 men, seven children and eight women; they are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Al-Hasakah: 20 civilians, including two children and three women.

 

  • Deir Ezzor: 23 civilians, including two children and three women.

 

  • Al-Raqqah: 17 civilians, including three children and two women.

 

  • Aleppo: Four men; three men in Manbij and a man in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani).
