Ongoing uprising in Al-Suwiadaa | Organising committee in Al-Karamah square confirms that the revolutionary movement is self-funded

Al-Suwaidaa province: A group of activists dubbed “the organising committee in Al-Karamah square in Al-Suwiadaa” issued a statement, affirming that they did not coordinated with any other bodies for a campaign known as “for our forgotten detainees in Syrian prisons.” The committee has denied its engagement of this campaign, stressing that the peaceful revolutionary movement in Al-Suwaidaa city is self-funded and claims no celebrations, campaigns or activities funded by any bodies. The activists have explained that the protestors already call every day for the release of detainees and forcibly disappeared individuals, emphasizing that this is a fundamental demand, and it is not a seasonal one.

In this context, tens of people from Al-Suwaidaa city gathered today in Al-Karamah square in the city centre, calling for peaceful transition of power and implementation of the International Revolution No. 2254.
