Planted earlier by ISIS | Six regime soldiers killed and injured in landmine explosion in Ethraeiyah desert

Hama province: A regime soldier was killed and five others sustained various injuries due to the explosion of an old landmine planted earlier by ISIS members in Ethraeiyah desert in Salameiyah countryside in eastern Hama. The injured soldiers were taken to the hospital for treatment.

 

Regime forces, Al-Quds Brigade and military divisions (11, 18, and 25), continue their operations in the Syrian desert for the 16th consecutive day with the participation of Russian fighter jets, to attack ISIS  positions in Al-Rusafah desert in Al-Raqqah countryside, Deir Ezzor, Palmyra, Al-Sukhnah deserts, reaching Al-Tanf area in western Homs countryside.

 

According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2024 has increased to 437; and they are as follows:

 

  • 29 ISIS members, three of whom were killed in Russian airstrikes and the others were killed by regime forces and their proxy militias.

 

  • 365 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including 33 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen and three members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, were killed in 146 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs.

 

  • 43 civilians, including a child and a woman, were killed in attacks by ISIS in the Syrian desert.

 

Here is a regional distribution of ISIS attacks:

 

-Deir Ezzor desert: 50 operations left 133 fatalities:

 

  • 107 combatants, including 12 Iranian-backed militiamen.

 

  • Eight ISIS members.

 

  • 18 civilians, including 17 truffle pickers, among them there was a woman.

 

-Homs desert: 68 operations left 211 fatalities:

 

  • 177 combatants, including 15 Iranian-backed militiamen.

 

  • 18 ISIS members.

 

  • 16 civilians, including two truffle pickers.

 

-Al-Raqqah desert: 17 operations left 46 fatalities:

 

  • 41 combatants, including two Iranian-backed militiamen.

 

  • Three ISIS members.

 

  • Two civilian truffle pickers.

 

-Hama desert: 11 operations left 42 fatality:

 

  • 35 combatant, including an Iranian-backed militiaman.

 

  • Seven civilians, including a child.

 

-Aleppo: Two operations left five combatants, including three Iranian-backed militiamen, dead
