ISIS resurgence | ISIS cells attack oil truck in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: Members of ISIS targeted with machineguns an oil truck of SDF in Abreiyhah town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, but no casualties were reported.

 

This comes after direct threats by ISIS cells, where they stuck leaflets on walls in villages in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside on May 13, in which they threatened to attack oil trucks of SDF.

 

SOHR has documented 136 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks, executions and explosions targeting military and security forces, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 75 fatalities:

 

  • 49 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

 

  • 11 ISIS members.

 

  • Four guards worked for the Autonomous Administration.

 

  • 11 civilians, including a child and a witch.

 

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Deir Ezzor: 115 attacks left 36 combatants, ten civilians, including a child and a witch, and seven ISIS members dead.

 

  • Al-Hasakah: 13 attacks left seven combatants, four ISIS members and a civilian dead.

 

  • Al-Raqqah: Eight attacks left six combatants and four guards of civil institutions of the Autonomous Administration dead.
