Deir Ezzor | “ISIS” cells set fire to an oil well crater

Deir Ezzor province: Members of “ISIS” set fire to an oil holding crater, which is leftover from an oil well in “Al-Sayjan” field, north of Deir Ezzor city, within SDF-held areas, before the members fled to an unknown destination. No information about causalities and the extent of material damage was reported.

SOHR has documented 137 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks, executions and explosions targeting military and security forces, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 75 fatalities:

49 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

11 ISIS members.

Four guards worked for the Autonomous Administration.

11 civilians, including a child and a witch.

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

Deir Ezzor: 116 attacks left 36 combatants, ten civilians, including a child and a witch, and seven ISIS members dead.

Al-Hasakah: 13 attacks left seven combatants, four ISIS members and a civilian dead.

Al-Raqqah: Eight attacks left six combatants and four guards of civil institutions of the Autonomous Administration dead.
