Including Syrian woman | Three people killed as result of Israeli strikes on site in Al-Sayyidah Zainab area south of Damascus
Since the beginning of this year, Israel has targeted Syrian territory 48 times by land and air, resulting in the death of 174 combatants and 14 civilians
Rif Dimashq province: An elderly Syrian woman from Nubl city in Aleppo countryside, a member of a non-Syrian nationality working within the ranks of the Iranian militia and a third person with a Syrian identity card who was not known whether he was of Syrian nationality and working with the Iranian militias, were killed, and 11 others were injured, as a result of the Israeli airstrikes yesterday evening, that targeted Jihad Al-Binaa Foundation of the Lebanese “Hezbollah” and the Iranian militias in Al-Sayyidah Zainab area, south of Damascus.
The strikes resulted in the destruction of the institution and a number of vehicles inside it. The strikes coincided with the launch of regime forces’ air defence missiles in an attempt to repel the attack, but they failed and the Israeli missiles reached their targets.
A number of civilians were also injured as a result of shrapnel from air defence missiles, and columns of smoke rose from the targeted site.
It is noted that the targeted institution is about 700 meters away from the shrine of Al-Sayyidah Zainab, and the area is considered a major stronghold for the Lebanese “Hezbollah”.
SOHR documented 48 attacks in 2024: 35 airstrikes and 13 rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 97 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 174 combatants and injured 69 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:
* 23 Iranian members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
* 39 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
* 15 Iraqi persons.
* 44 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.
* 11 Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.
* 41 regime soldiers.
* Three unidentified people.
In addition, those attacks left 14 civilians, including three women and a child dead and nearly 32 other civilians injured.
The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:

* Daraa: 14 attacks.
* Homs: Seven attacks.
