ISIS resurgence | Three persons injured in attack on medical centre in western Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Gunmen of ISIS cells launched a surprise attack with light weapons and grenades, targeting a medical centre in Hemar Al-Ali village in western Deir Ezzor. The attack resulted in the injury of three employees working in the centre, including an SDF member, and they were taken to the hospital.

 

SOHR has documented 138 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks, executions and explosions targeting military and security forces, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 75 fatalities:

 

  • 49 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

 

  • 11 ISIS members.

 

  • Four guards worked for the Autonomous Administration.

 

  • 11 civilians, including a child and a witch.

 

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Deir Ezzor: 117 attacks left 36 combatants, ten civilians, including a child and a witch, and seven ISIS members dead.

 

  • Al-Hasakah: 13 attacks left seven combatants, four ISIS members and a civilian dead.

 

  • Al-Raqqah: Eight attacks left six combatants and four guards of civil institutions of the Autonomous Administration dead.
