“Euphrates Shield” area | Civilian among five persons injured in clashes in Azaz

Aleppo province: Violent clashes with light weapons erupted between members of “Asefat Al-Shamal” faction and members of the traffic police in Azaz city in northern Aleppo in “Euphrates Shield” area following a fight between the two sides which evolved to the use of weapons. Five persons, including a civilian, were injured in indiscriminate gunfire during the clashes, and they were taken to the national hospital, amid a state of growing tension and escalating security disorder.

 

This coincides with the escalating security chaos in areas controlled by Turkish forces and their proxy factions.

 

On May 23, SOHR sources reported that a member of the Civil Police was injured in his hand and foot after being shot by a member of “Northern storm” faction of the Turkish-backed “National Army”, as a result of an altercation between them following a dispute that developed into the use of weapons in Izaz city. Within “Euphrates Shield” area, in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
