Following threats | ISIS cells assassinate employee in municipality of Al-Baseiyrah city in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: A municipal employee in Al-Baseiyrah city in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside within SDF-held areas, was killed after unidentified gunmen believed to be of ISIS cells had stormed his home.
According to reliable SOHR sources the victim had received threats from ISIS cells.

SOHR has documented 139 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks, executions and explosions targeting military and security forces, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 76 fatalities:

49 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

11 ISIS members.

Four guards worked for the Autonomous Administration.

12 civilians, including a child, a witch and an employee in the Autonomous Administration.

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

Deir Ezzor: 118 attacks left 37 combatants, 11 civilians, including a child, an employee in the Autonomous Administration and a witch, and seven ISIS members dead.

Al-Hasakah: 13 attacks left seven combatants, four ISIS members and a civilian dead.

Al-Raqqah: Eight attacks left six combatants and four guards of civil institutions of the Autonomous Administration dead.
