Security chaos | Civilian injured in infighting between cousins in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Armed clashes erupted with light and white weapons between “Al-Zo’al” and “Al-Hammash” cousins of “Al-Shoaitat” Tribe in Gharanij Town eastern of Deir Ezzor, due to quarrels that escalated to infighting and a person was injured by gunshots and taken to a hospital to receive proper medication, amid a state of tension in the area.

Accordingly, the number of infightings which followed disputes over retaliation and family and tribal disagreements in areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration has reached 81 since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these infightings left 45 people, including two women and two children, dead and 155 others injured; they are distributed regionally as follows:

* Deir Ezzor: 55 infightings left 16 persons, including a child and a woman, dead and 95 others injured.

* Al-Raqqah: Ten infightings left 16 people, including a child, dead and 28 others injured.

* Aleppo: Six infightings left four civilians dead and 16 others, including an Asayish member, injured.

* Al-Hasakah: Ten infightings left nine persons including a woman dead and 16 others injured.
