Two separate attacks | ISIS cells shoot oil contractor dead and attack oil truck with machineguns in Deir Ezzor countryside
Deir Ezzor province: An oil contractor was shot dead by unidentified gunmen believed to be of ISIS cells on a motorcycle in Al-Hajnah town in northern Deir Ezzor countryside, then they fled to an unknown destination.
Meanwhile, members of ISIS attacked, with machineguns, an oil truck belonging to the Autonomous Administration on Al-Baseiyrah-Al-Attal road in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, but no casualties were reported.
SOHR has documented 152 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks, executions and explosions targeting military and security forces, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 80 fatalities:
- 50 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
- 11 ISIS members.
- Four guards worked for the Autonomous Administration.
- 13 civilians, including a child and a witch.
- A driver working for “Al-Qaterji” militia.
These operations are distributed regionally as follows:
- Deir Ezzor: 130 attacks left 39 combatants, 13 civilians, including a child and a witch, seven ISIS members and a driver working for “Al-Qaterji” militia dead.
- Al-Hasakah: 13 attacks left seven combatants, four ISIS members and a civilian dead.
- Al-Raqqah: Eight attacks left six combatants and four guards of civil institutions of the Autonomous Administration dead.
- Aleppo: One operation.
