While sneaking into Lebanon | Gang kidn*aps young man in Homs and demands 25,000 USDs for his release
Damascus province: The parents of a young man from Damascus received a phone call from members of a kidnapping gang, demanding them to pay 25,000 USDs for the release of the young man.
According to reliable SOHR sources, the young man worked in Lebanon before being deported to Syria, where he then attempted to return to Lebanon via illegal smuggling in Homs countryside, where he was kidnapped by a kidnapping gang that tortured him and threatened his parents to pay 25,000 USDs, while his parents are unable to pay the required amount of money.
On July 14, SOHR obtained photos and a copy of a videotape, showing a young man from Homs countryside being brutally beaten and tortured by a kidnapping gang, to pressure his family and force them to pay a financial ransom for his release.
The pictures also showed the same young man accompanied by another person, showing signs of torture on his body as a result of being whipping and the phrase of “My dear brother” was written on his back with a sharp object, to pressure their families to pay the sum.
