To attract more people to its ranks | Security meeting for leaders of Iranian-backed militias held in presence regime officers in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources reported that a security meeting was held at “Liwaa Al-Baqir” villa in Al-Dahiyah in Al-Jourah neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor city, within areas controlled by regime forces and Iranian militias, amid tightened security.
According to the sources, the meeting was attended by second-ranking leaders of “IRGC”, the Lebanese “Hezbollah” and security and military officers in the regime forces, in addition to the commander of “Osoud Al-Akidat” militia, “Hashim Al-Sittam”, “Fadi Al-Afees” and “Nawaf Al-Bashir”, leaders of Liwaa Al-Baqir and “Firas Al-Iraqiyah”, commander of the National Defence militia.
The meeting discussed attracting local affiliates from Deir Ezzor city, between the ages of 18 to 45 years, to include them in the ranks of the Iranian-backed militias, in exchange for financial and security temptations, such as the delivery of salaries on a monthly basis instead of every three months, while all the members would be given security cards for not being subjected to any arrest or accountability.
These measures came to compensate for the shortage of local members in the ranks of the militias, followed the withdrawal of Iraqi, Lebanese and Iranian members from Deir Ezzor towards Damascus.
On July 17, SOHR reported that The Iranian militia leaders in Deir Ezzor left towards Damascus
According to the sources, the militia leaders will conduct security meetings to study the militias’ situation in Deir Ezzor and the militias’ combat readiness for the purpose of dealing with the American bases east of the Euphrates.
