Following assassination of “Haniyah” and military commander of Hezbollah | Orders issued for regime forces to prevent targeting occupied Syrian Golan from their positions

From its reliable sources, SOHR learned that the leadership of the regime forces issued new orders today to all military units and positions stationed near the border with the occupied Syrian Golan in the areas of Al-Qunaitrah, Rif Dimashq and Daraa. These orders include preventing the use of any military positions to launch missile attacks or carry out any movements towards the occupied Syrian Golan, in addition to neutralizing them from any potential military confrontations.
These precautionary steps follow the rapid escalating events in the region, including the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas, and the military commander of the Lebanese Hezbollah, “Fouad Ali Shukr”. These orders aim to prevent the regime’s forces from engaging in new military conflicts that may erupt between Israel on the one hand and the Iranian-backed militias and “Hezbollah” on the other hand. These measures represent an attempt to avoid military escalation, at a time of increasing tension between different forces in the region.
Days earlier, SOHR sources have reported that Iranian-backed groups of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities evacuated their positions in Al-Sayyeidah Zaynab area in southern Damascus, positions in southwestern the city and positions in Al-Qunaitrah.
Meanwhile, groups affiliated with Lebanese Hezbollah took the same measure in western Al-Qalamoun area in Rif Dimashq, anticipating any Israeli airstrikes on Syrian territory.
The groups also attempted to conceal themselves by restricting the movement of their members and military leaders, and by repositioning themselves. This followed Israeli airstrikes on sites and buildings in Damascus, as well as a regime forces brigade in Daraa countryside.
