In fear of violations of factions | Eight families flee from “Peace Spring” area to Turkey

Al-Hasakah province: Eight families from Um Ashba Village eastern of Ras Al-Ain City northern of Al-Hasakah in “Peace Spring” area left their houses yesterday, leaving behind their houses and properties and managed to reach Turkey via smuggling, in fear of violations of “Jaish Al-Islam” Factions that belongs to the “National Army”, where several murders, robberies and sexual harassment took place in the area.

On the same context, “Al-Hamzat” Faction that belongs to the “National Army” harass residents living in their houses in Tel Halaf Town western of Ras Al-Ain to force them to leave to take over their properties, where members of the faction threaten residents with weapons and cut roads to prevent them from entering or exiting without paying royalties.

On July 30, SOHR activists reported that factions of the “National Army” in Ras Al-Ain area in Al-Hasakah harass shepherds, where members of “Al-Sultan Murad”, “Ahrar Al-Sharqiya”, “Al-Hamzat” and “Jaish Al-Islam” Factions impose royalties on shepherds in Ras Al-Ain countryside within “Peace Spring” area north western of Al-Hasakah, to allow them to herd their sheep in their lands.
