In mysterious circumstances | Residents find young girl hanged to de*ath inside her house in Al-Raqqa

Al-Raqqa province: The body of an 18 year-old girl was found hanging with a rope inside her parents’ house in Al-Bayatra Neighbourhood in Al-Raqqa City in SDF-held areas, in mysterious circumstances.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the girl lived with her mother in the house and her father lives in Damascus, where she has private properties to her name from her father and investigations are still ongoing to reveal details of the crime.

The Syrian Observatory has documented 89 murder crimes in SDF-controlled areas since early 2024, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while motivations behind the others remained unknown. These murders left 94 civilian fatalities, including 69 men, 11 children and 14 women; they are distributed regionally as follows:

Al-Hasakah: 28 civilians, including four children and five women.

Deir Ezzor: 33 civilians, including three children and four women.

Al-Raqqah: 24 civilians, including four children and three women.

Aleppo: Nine civilians; seven men and a woman in Manbij and a man in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani).
