Security vacuum | Civilian injured in gunfire by unknown gunmen in rural Daraa
Daraa province: A civilian from Abtaa town in the middle countryside of Daraa was injured in his leg in gunfire by unknown gunmen who also kidnapped the civilian in Da’el city in Daraa countryside.
The civilian was later release, where he was found today in Tafas city and taken to the hospital.
This coincides with the escalating security chaos in regime-controlled areas.
Since early 2024, SOHR activists have documented 222 incidents of security disorder in Daraa province, which left 246 people dead; and they are as follows:
- 72 civilians, including six women and 18 children.
- 74 regime soldiers, members and collaborators with regime security services.
- 16 men accused of “involving in drug business.”
- Five members of the Russian-backed 8th Brigade.
- 16 ISIS members, including a commander.
- 54 members of local factions.
- Seven persons collaborating with the Lebanese Hezbollah.
- A regime dissident colonel.
- One unidentified person.
