Condemning attacks by Iranian-backed local groups in Deir Ezzor countryside | Residents in north-eastern Syria stage mass demonstration

SDF-held areas in north-eastern Syria have witnessed public demonstrations rejecting the attacks and violations against civilians in Deir Ezzor.

 

In this context, people from Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) city in eastern Aleppo countryside went out in a protest, condemning the massacre committed by local groups loyal to Iran and demanding put an end to the attacks on villages and towns in Deir Ezzor.

 

Similarly, women in Al-Ma’amel area went out in a mass demonstration, expressing their rejecting of the violations on Deir Ezzor region and condemning the massacre against civilians, which is a clear breach of human rights laws. The protesters lifted placards with slogans written on them that read “we are all against barbaric and brutal practices,” “no justice without holding the executioner accountable,” “work on spreding security, and not to destabilise the region.”

 

Meanwhile, the dignitaries, notables and elders in Manbij city have announced, through a statement, that they stand united against all interventions by foreign  powers, which coincides attempts by regime forces and their proxies to stir up strife among the region’s constituents and destabilise the region.

 

Moreover, “Zenobia Women’s Council” in Manbij condemned the massacre committed by regime forces and Iranian-backed groups, expressing their solidarity with women in Deir Ezzor. The  council called for holding the perpetrators of the massacre accountable.

 

Furthermore, tribal elders and notables denounced the violations committed against people in Deir Ezzor by regime forces and Iranian-backed militias, expressing their rejection of all external attempts to destroy the social values in the region.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that people participated in a mass demonstration, expressing their rejecting of the massacre that committed by regime forces and Iranian-backed groups in Deir Ezzor.
