Killing five militiamen | Unknown drone attacks vehicle of Iranian-backed militias near Al-Bokamal at Syria-Iraq border

Deir Ezzor province: Five Iranian-backed militiamen were killed and others were injured, some seriously, in an attack by an unknown drone which targeted their military vehicle in an area between Al-Kashmah and Al-Duwayr villages in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, near the Syria-Iraq border.

 

This attack comes less than 48 hours after a similar attack which targeted Kharab Al-Jir base in Al-Hasakah countryside, where US forces failed to foil the attack which was carried by a drone that was launched from Iraq.

 

That was the first direct attack to hit US bases in Syria in months.
