Due to clashes and exchanged shelling | Woman and child killed and 13 civilians injured in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: After midnight on Sunday-Monday, a woman and a child were killed in Abu Al-Hamam town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor as a result of ground shelling by Iranian-backed local groups, while about ten civilians were injured in similar shelling in the towns and villages of Al-Kashkiyah, Al-Sabhah, Abu Al-Hamam and Sweidan.
Three children were injured in a missile shelling that targeted Buqres town, east of Deir Ezzor, launched from military posts of SDF.
Meanwhile, the shelling and clashes between SDF and Iranian-backed local groups also caused fires in agricultural lands in Al-Kashkiyah village, and material damage to civilian houses. The area also witnessed a large mass displacement of civilians from several areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The escalation came against the backdrop of an infiltration operation carried out by SDF into advanced posts of the Iranian-backed local groups in Al-Bulil, Al-Duweir and Al-Kashmah, east of Deir Ezzor, and the eruption of violent clashes that ended with the killing and capturing of 15 militiamen.
On August 9, 11 people, including women and six children were killed, in a massacre committed by local Iranian-backed militias in Al-Dahlah village in Deir Ezzor countryside.
On the same day, a woman and a child were killed, and seven civilians were injured, including six children, as a result of an artillery shelling carried out by SDF targeting Al-Bulil village.
