Ongoing violations | Pro-Turkey factions arrest six civilians and assault another in Afrin

Aleppo province: Members of the pro-Turkey “National Army” factions arrested two civilians, aged 51 and 39, from Bulbul district in Afrin countryside for unknown reasons, after they had returned to their hometown from Lebanon,. They were taken to an unknown destination and their fate remains unknown.

 

Meanwhile, members of “Al-Sultan Murad” Division arrested a civilian, after he had forcibly deported from Turkey to Syrian, because he demanded take back his house in Al-Zaeiydyah neighborhood in Afrin city, where his fate remains unknown.

 

Moreover, members of the civil police arrested a civilian in his thirties from Arab Wayran village in Sharan district in Afrin countryside, after having stormed his house in Al-Ashrafiyah neighbourhood in Afrin city, where he was taken to an unknown destination. It is worth noting that the incident occurred after the civilian had returned back to his hometown from Lebanon.

 

Similarly, two civilians, aged 38 and 43, from Al-Bab city were arrested by Turkish authorities from Al-Ashrafiyah neighbourhood in Afrin city in order to obtain ransoms, where their fate remains unknown.

 

Furthermore, members of “Al-Sultan Murad” faction in Afrin city assaulted a displaced civilian from Idlib city, after having refused to hand over a house that he had seized in Al-Zaydiyah neighborhood.

 

This comes in light of ongoing violations and arrest campaigns by pro-Turkey factions and Turkish intelligence services against civilians in “Olive Branch” area.
