In fear of attacks by jets of the “Coalition” | Regime forces withdraw from a checkpoint in area of Al-Tanf Base

Regime forces withdrew surprisingly from “Jolaigham” checkpoint in the 55 kilometre de-confliction zone on the general road between Baghdad and Damascus.

Forces had stationed in the checkpoint since the “International Coalition” established Al-Tanf Military Base in 2016, at the junction of borders between Syria, Jordan and Iraq in Homs.

According to reliable SOHR sources, regime forces deployed 25 members as the checkpoint contained two personnel carriers, one t72 tank and some military machinery.

On June 7, Moscow accused western powers stationed in Al-Tanaf garrison in the 55 kilometre de-confliction zone near the Syrian-Jordanian-Iraqi border triangle of harbouring and supporting ISIS members in that region.
