Planted earlier by ISIS | Two SDF fighters injured by landmine explosion in eastern Deir Ezzor
Deir Ezzor province: A landmine planted earlier by ISIS exploded on Al-Hawi road in Al-Jerthi Al-Sharqi in eastern Deir Ezzor, while a military vehicle of Syrian Democratic Forces was moving on the road.
The explosion left two SDF members injured and they were taken to a hospital.
SOHR has documented 191 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks, executions and explosions targeting military and security forces, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 88 fatalities:
- 54 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
- 12 ISIS members.
- 22 civilians, including a child, a witch and four guards of civil institutions.
These operations are distributed regionally as follows:
- Deir Ezzor: 168 attacks left 41 combatants, 16 civilians, including a child, a witch and a young woman, and eight ISIS members dead.
- Al-Hasakah: 13 attacks left seven combatants, four ISIS members and a civilian dead.
- Al-Raqqah: Nine attacks left six combatants and five civilians, including four guards of civil institutions of the Autonomous Administration, dead.
- Aleppo: One operation left no fatalities.
