Crossed into Syria through Al-Hamam crossing | Turkish convoy of 13 military and armoured vehicles arrives in “Olive Branch” area

Aleppo province: A Turkish military convoy comprising four vehicles of Turkish intelligence service and nine armoured vehicles crossed into Syria via Al-Hamam crossing on the Syria-Turkey border.

The convoy headed to a post in “Olive Branch” area which is controlled by Turkish forces and their proxy factions.

The arrival of this reinforcement coincides with the ongoing efforts by Turkish forces to boost their bases and get ready to deal with expected developments in the region.

On August 6, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces stationed near Kafr Jannah in Sharran district in Afrin countryside in northern Aleppo withdrew a military column of two tanks, a rocket launchpad and seven armoured vehicles towards Bab Al-Salamah crossing.

This coincides with subsiding attacks by Kurdish forces, which escalated noticeably in July in the area stretching from Jarabulus to Shirawa district in Afrin countryside.
