After planting an I*E*D | Member of IS*IS kil*led by drone of “International Coalition” in Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: A member of ISIS was killed two days ago after being targeted by a drone of the “International Coalition”, while he was on a motorbike in Atala Village in Al-Shaddadi Town within SDF-held areas in southern Al-Hasakah countryside, after he planted an IED in the passage of a joint military patrol between the “International Coalition” and the Internal Security Forces “Al-Asayish” in the area, where the “International Coalition” dismantled the IED after the death of the member.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the killed member is called Mohamed Kuwan Al-Waza’el “Abo Al-Hana” and hails from Al-Ezba Town in Deir Ezzor countryside, where his body was handed over by the “International Coalition”, which demanded not to hold a funeral for him and secretly burry him in presence of a few number of his family members.

Moreover, the member was previously arrested for “belonging to ISIS.”

On September 10, special units of SDF, with the participation of the “International Coalition” forces, carried out a raid in the villages of Al-Arishah and Abyad in the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, and arrested two persons during the raid, one of whom is from Al-Marieaiyah village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, on charges of belonging to “ISIS” cells.

According to SOHR activists, the past few days have witnessed an intensification of joint security operations between SDF and the “International Coalition” forces in Al-Hasakah countryside, in search of those accused of belonging to “ISIS” cells. This comes in light of the escalation by “ISIS” and the increase in its activity within the areas of the “Autonomous Administration”, targeting combatants and civilians.
