Family infighting | Armed clashes among cousins leave person dead in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: A person was killed and two women sustained various injuries, following a brawl that evolved to armed clashes among cousins in Theban town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside within SDF-held areas.

Accordingly, the number of infightings which followed disputes over retaliation and family and tribal disagreements in areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration has reached 109 since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these infightings left 63 people, including three women and three children, dead and 211 others injured; they are distributed regionally as follows:

• Deir Ezzor: 67 infightings left 22 persons, including a child and two women, dead and 113 others injured.

• Al-Raqqah: 22 infightings left 23 people, including a child and a woman, dead and 55 others injured.

• Aleppo: Eight infightings left six civilians dead and 19 others, including an Asayish member, injured.

• Al-Hasakah: 12 infightings left 12 persons, including a woman, dead and 24 others injured
