New attack | Three members of NDF injured in ISIS attack in Deir Ezzor desert

Deir Ezzor province: Three members of National Defence Forces were injured in an attack carried out by gunmen believed to be of ISIS cells on a military post near the salt mine in Al-Tabani desert in western Deir Ezzor countryside. The injured members were taken to the hospital for treatment, while the attackers fled into the depths of the Syrian desert.
According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2024 has increased to 525; and they are as follows:

29 ISIS members, three of whom were killed in Russian airstrikes and the others were killed by regime forces and their proxy militias.

439 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including 40 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen and three members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, were killed in 190 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs.

Two persons accused of cooperating with SDF intelligence.

55 civilians, including a child and a woman, were killed in attacks by ISIS in the Syrian desert.

Here is a regional distribution of ISIS attacks:

-Deir Ezzor desert: 65 operations left 153 fatalities:

125 combatants, including 14 Iranian-backed militiamen.

Eight ISIS members.

20 civilians, including 17 truffle pickers, among them there was a woman.

-Homs desert: 82 operations left 242 fatalities:

205 combatants, including 15 Iranian-backed militiamen.

18 ISIS members.

19 civilians, including two truffle pickers.

-Al-Raqqah desert: 26 operations left 68 fatalities:

56 combatants, including two Iranian-backed militiamen and two persons accused of cooperating with SDF intelligence.

Three ISIS members.

Nine civilians, including two truffle pickers.

-Hama desert: 15 operations left 57 fatalities:

50 combatants, including an Iranian-backed militiaman and five members affiliated to the Lebanese “Hezbollah.”

Seven civilians, including a child.

-Aleppo: Two operations left five combatants, including three Iranian-backed militiamen, dead.
