Family infighting | Three civilians killed and others injured due to armed clashes among cousins in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: Three civilians were killed and others sustained various injuries during clashes with light and medium weapons among cousins from “Al-Alwan Al-Jasim” and “ Al-Maz’al Al-Habeib” families from “Al-Bujamil” tribe which belongs to “Al-Akidat” tribe due to old disputes between them in Al-Shuhail city in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.

It is worth noting that the injured people were taken to a hospital for treatment.

This coincided with a state of high tension in the region, amid appeals to wise individuals to intervene and break up the clashes.

This comes in light of ongoing security chaos in SDF-held areas.

Accordingly, the number of infightings which followed disputes over retaliation and family and tribal disagreements in areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration has reached 112 since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these infightings left 66 people, including three women and three children, dead and 214 others injured; they are distributed regionally as follows:
