Guided missile | Two of Russian-backed “Special Operations” units kil*led and others injured in attack by IS*IS cells in the desert
Deir Ezzor province: Two members of Russian-backed “Special Operations” units were killed and others were injured in an attack by ISIS cells with a guided missile targeting a military car near Kabakib Village on highway between Deir Ezzor and Palmyra, while the injured people were taken to a hospital in Deir Ezzor.
On the same context, Russian-backed forces in the area launched a combing campaign in search of attackers.
According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2024 has increased to 528; and they are as follows:
29 ISIS members, three of whom were killed in Russian airstrikes and the others were killed by regime forces and their proxy militias.
442 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including 41 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen and three members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, were killed in 191 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs.
