Exchanged attacks | Regime member kil*led and regime forces shell villages in Idlib and shoot down drones in Lattakia

A regime soldier was killed in a sniping operation by factions of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” on a frontline of Jabal Al-Zawiyah (Mountain) southern of Idlib.

On the same context, regime forces shelled Taftanaz and Ma’arat Al-Na’asan Towns in Idlib countryside.

The frontlines of Taftanaz and Ma’arat Al-Na’asan witnessed exchanged shooting between factions of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” and regime forces. However, no casualties were reported.

On the other hand, factions launched kamikaze and scout drones towards regime-held areas in Lattakia countryside, while regime forces managed to shoot some of them down.

Since early 2024, SOHR has documented 297 operations in the “de-escalation zone,” including attacks by ground forces, infiltration operations, gunfire by snipers, bombardment, clashes and kamikaze drone attacks, which left 326 combatants and civilians dead. In addition, these operations left over 126 combatants, including a Turkish soldier, and 139 civilians, including four women and 22 children, injured.

The fatalities can be distributed as follows:

27 civilians, including 12 children and two women.

210 members of regime forces, including 24 officers.

72 members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham.

Five members of “Ansar Al-Islam” faction.

Three members of “Jaysh Al-Nasr.”

One member of “Jaysh Al-Ahrar.”

Two jihadists, including a jihadist of Turkish descent.

A member of “Al-Hamzah” Division.

Three members of “Al-Sham Corps.”

One member of the “Public Resistance” which operates under the banner of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” operations room.

One member of the “Thowwar Al-Sham” Battalion which operates under the banner of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” operations room.
