Following arrest of five members | Tension prevails between Civil Police and Ahrar Al-Sharqiya in Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: Members of Ahrar Al-Sharqiya Faction of the “National Army” arrested five members of the Civil Police at the checkpoint of Mabrouka Town western of Ras Al-Ain in “Peace Spring” area north western of Al-Hasakah, due to disputes over smuggling routes, imposition of royalties on passengers and the insulting of female workers in agricultural fields in the area. This coincided with a state of security tension and gathering by both parties.

On June 26, a leader clashed with his members from the Turkish-backed “Al-Shamiyah Front” faction, with a military police patrol in Ain Al-Arous village in Tel Abyad countryside, north of Al-Raqqah, within “Peace Spring” areas, against the backdrop of the latter’s arrest of women, amid ongoing tension between both sides.
