Cutting down trees, stea-ling olive crops and imposing royalties | Turkish-backed factions continue their viol-ations in Afrin

Aleppo province: Members of “Al-Muatasim Division” faction cut down 300 olive trees near Al-Ashrafiyah neighbourhood in Afrin city after stealing their crops, in front of the military police members stationed in the neighbourhood. According to information, the olive trees are owned by civilians from Qaibar village in Afrin countryside.
Moreover, members of “Sulayman Shah” faction stole the crop of 180 olive trees in Kourzilah village in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside, where these trees are owned by civilians from the village. This came after imposing financial royalties estimated at 3 USD for each tree, under the pretext of protecting them.
In another violation, members of “Al-Hamzah Division” faction canceled the olive field agencies of civilians outside the area and seized them, and imposed financial royalties estimated at 150 USD for each family, under the pretext of guarding the olive fields.
It is clear that the series of violations continues in the Afrin region, which is under the control of the Turkish forces and their proxies within “Olive Branch” area, without any legal or moral deterrent.
