For fourth day in a row | Israeli fighter jets destroy weapons of Syrian regime army, bringing the number of airstrikes to over 352 in 13 Syrian provinces

Israeli fighter jets continue to destroy the remaining military assets in Syria for the fourth consecutive day as a part of the series of intensive airstrikes which started following the announcement of the fall of Al-Assad’s regime on December 8.

 

Today’s airstrikes targeted the following sites:

 

  • A radar system in an electronic warfare and early warning site in Billah village that is located seven kilometres to the north of Tartus.

 

  • A radar system and weapons in a position of air-defence forces in Al-Balatah that is located four kilometres to the north of Tartus.

 

  • A radar system in Al-Radar area that is located five kilometres to the south of Tartus.

 

  • A position of in Burj Islam and a radar system in Latakia countryside.

 

  • Al-Talae’ camp in Al-Jourah neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor city.

 

  • Deir Ezzor military airbase. The attack resulted in the destruction of aircraft and radar equipment.

 

Since the announcement of the toppling of the “dictator,” Bashar Al-Assad, on December 8, the Syrian Observatory has documented nearly 352 airstrikes carried out by Israeli fighter jets in 13 Syrian provinces.

 

At a time when Syrian people celebrate the end of the dictator’s rule, Israeli airstrikes have destroyed Syria’s military assets, where the airstrikes focused on Syrian airbases and their contents, including warehouses, aircraft, radar systems and military signal stations, scientific research centres and weapons and ammunitions warehouses in different positions across Syria. The attacks resulted in complete suspension of air-defences and put all targeted positions out of service.

 

The sites targeted by Israeli fighter jets since the toppling of Al-Assad can be distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Deir Ezzor province: warehouses in a former military position near Deir Ezzor city, warehouses belonged to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in south Al-Bokamal desert, stores and weapons warehouses in the salt mine area, centres belonged to regime forces and the Iranians in Deir Ezzor desert and Al-Talae’ camp in Al-Jourah neighbourhood.

 

  • Hama province: the scientific research centre near Al-Zawi town in Masyaf countryside and warehouses in Salamiyah.

 

  • Homs province: Al-She’ayrat airbase and warehouses in Shanshar.

 

  • Al-Hasakah province: Al-Qamishli airport and the 54th Regiment (Tartab Regiment).

 

  • Al-Raqqah province: A military position in the southern countryside of Al-Raqqah.

 

  • Latakia province: the institution of air-defence forces near Latakia harbour in the Syrian coastline, Syrian warships and warehouses belonging to the former regime in Al-Kurnish, Al-Mushayrefah, Ras Al-Shamra and Burj Islam in Latakia countryside.

 

  • Tartus province: military positions in Billah villages and the areas of Al-Balatah and Al-Radar.

 

  • Damascus and Rif Dimashq provinces: the headquarters of the management of the electronic warfare near Al-Bahdaliyah area adjacent Sayeda Zeinab, weapons warehouses in Ain Manin village in Al-Tel area, positions in the north of Al-Qarah city, warehouses in Al-Sumariyah, Aqraba airbase, positions in the area of the scientific research centre in Barzeh, Al-Mazzah airbase, positions in Bitima in Jabal Al-Sheikh, headquarters of the 4th Division near the area of the scientific research centre, Danha warehouses in Qalamoun, positions in the security zone in Damascus and weapons and ammunitions warehouses on the outskirts of Damascus and in Qudsiyah.

 

  • Al-Suwaidaa province: Khalkhalah military airbase.

 

  • Daraa province: positions in the 112th Regiment between Sheikh Maskin and Nawa cities in the western countryside, Al-Kamm military warehouses nearby Mahajjah town in northern countryside, positions in the 12th Regiment, Tel Al-Hamd, Tel Jaddaya, Tel Al-Hara and the 175th Regiment in Izraa city. The airstrikes which targeted the 12th Regiment in Izraa city killed two civilians who were in the targeted site.

 

  • Al-Quneitra province: positions in Tel Al-Shaar and positions near the occupied Syrian Golan and the 90th

 

  • Aleppo province: factories belonging to the air-defence forces in Aleppo city and Al-Saferah.

 

This comes as a part of efforts by Israeli forces to destroy warehouses and military assets belonged to the former regime forces.
