Warplanes hit 6 oilfields in the east of south of Deir Ezzor, while IS close schools in the city of al- Mayadin and its outskirts fearing of airstrikes

 

Deir Ezzor Province:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed that warplanes carried out airstrikes on several oilfields in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, the raids targeted the oilfields of al-Omar, al-Tank, al-Jufrah and Kuniko of oil and gas at the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, also the raids targeted the oilfields of Tim and al-Khrata located to the south of Deir Ezzor city, no information about the size of the material damage or human losses yet, while the “Islamic state” informed a family of a child at the age of 17 from the city of al-Mayadin -who he had recently joined the ranks organization- that their son was killed by blowing himself up in the area Tal Abyad located in the northern countryside Al-Raqqah and controlled by YPG and the rebel factions, while the activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights were informed that the “Islamic state” organization closed the schools in the city of al -Mayadin “until further notice” fearing of being targeted by the warplanes, as the organization reported the citizens in the city.

 

In late October, SOHR activists in Deir Ezzor knew that the school students in IS-held areas started to go to schools. The sources informed SOHR that IS imposed 2 dollars as registration fee on each student. These sources confirmed to SOHR that IS depends on teaching staff underwent “Sharia courses”. All teachers conducted final examination, and those who could pass it appointed to teach in the schools in the two states of al- Khayr and al- Forat, most probably IS is going to adopt the curriculum issued last year.

 

It is worth mentioning that In February 19, reliable sources informed SOHR that IS distributed its own curriculum in the Organization- held areas today, where they distributed a copy of teaching subjects for each school. The curriculum contains 6 subjects:

  • Monotheism consisting of 179 pages, and which is a thesis written by Muhammad Abdulwahab; one of the scholars in the Arabian Peninsula. In this thesis, Abdulwahab talks about the Three Fundamental Principals in Monotheism.
  • Arabic Language consisting of 30 pages and containing an explanation for Alfeyyet Iben Malek.
  • Mathematics consisting of 64 pages.
  • Physics and chemistry consisting of 25 pages.
  • Biology consisting of 37 pages.
  • English Language consisting of 30 pages.
