The dead: 37 civilians (including 9 men tortured to death, 2 women and 1 child), 24 rebels, 7 unidentified rebels, 1 al-Nusra, 6 non-Syrian fighters, 12 pro-regime militiaman, 18 regular soldiers.

By province: Homs (7 rebels, 7 civilians*). Damascus (3 rebels, 10 civilians). Reef Dimashq (1 rebel, 9 civilians). Aleppo (7 rebels, 3 civilians**). Deir Ezzour (2 rebels, 1 al-Nusra fighter, 2 civilians). Der’a (1 rebel, 3 civilians). Idlib (2 rebels, 1 civilian). Hama (1 rebel, 1 civilian). Raqqah (1 civilian).


*5 civilians from the province were tortured to death while in the detention centres of the Syrian Security Services.

** 3 civilians were killed in unknown circumstances. Their bodies were found in the al-Sina’iya part of the Sheikh Najjar area.

7 unidentified fighters killed by clashes and bombardment.

6 non-Syrian fighters from the ISIS and al-Nusra were killed by clashes and bombardment.

12 National Defence Forces and Popular Committee militiamen were killed by clashes and attacks on their checkpoints.

18 regular soldiers killed by clashes, attacks at checkpoints, bombardment and IEDs : 5 Homs, 2 Hama, 1 Idlib, 4 Damascus and Reef Dimashq, 5 Aleppo, 1 Deir Ezzour.

The SOHR documented the earlier deaths of 3 civilians. 1 man was killed by the regime bombardment on the Kallasah neighbourhood of aleppo on 16/8/2013. 1 man from the Marjeh neighbourhood of Aleppo was killed when a rocket fell on his car on 13/10/2013. 1 man was killed by a sniper in the al-Hajz crossing in the Bustan al-Qasr neighbourhood.
