Warren Absent From Clinton Fundraiser With Female Senators

Politically, this sort of tax hike hand waving is a good move, because it allows Clinton to proposed hundreds of billions in new spending while saying, essentially, that of course it will be paid for-by someone else.
Republicans have also leveled criticism on Clinton over her use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state – a revelation that led to this week’s email release, which is part of a broader effort. Warren later clarified that while she supports Clinton running, she had not endorsed her. Among the more positive or neutral popular descriptors were “news”, “candidacy”, and “time”.
It was unclear what that figure referred to.
She also expresses her grief at the loss of two American diplomats, U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and Sean Smith, an information management officer.
However, there was at least one exception.
Warren told the Boston Globe in September that she would likely endorse during the primaries but said at the time, “Right now that’s not where we are”. We talked with the Democratic presidential candidate at the Hay-Adams across from the White House only on CBS This Morning.
“It would be notable if Warren were there”, the Democratic aide said of Monday’s event.

Former Clinton aide Lauren Jiloty wrote to Clinton in 2012 to say she had met investor Warren Buffett, who asked her whom she had previously worked for. Former President Bill Clinton reportedly declined to campaign for Warren’s election to the Senate in 2012.
Clinton has locked up dozens of endorsements from governors and members of Congress. Warren’s name did not come up.
North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp kicked off the evening noting that all of the female senators had signed a 2013 letter urging Clinton to make another run. But with Sanders in the race championing key planks of her economic agenda, Warren has assumed a role above the fray, pushing the candidates to abide by that platform.
The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Thursday that 30 USA soldiers arrived in the northern city of Kobani in addition to another 20 who were deployed to Hasakeh province in eastern Syria. It was the first time the Clinton campaign has opened a fundraiser to all press, a decision that reflected its symbolic importance to a team that is not shying away from talking up the historic nature of her candidacy after a more reluctant handling of Clinton’s gender during her 2008 campaign.
Two months before the Iowa caucuses, Clinton differs from Warren mostly by degree. “Wall Street has gotten dark and complex in the last 50 years”.
Like with previous releases, the emails focus largely on news clippings and mundane exchanges with her top aides and outside advisers. “And it is something that is going to require a lot of cooperation”, Clinton said. The email was addressed to an account under the name “Diane Reynolds”, an alias Chelsea Clinton used for personal messages.
