The Russian forces are using two airbases in Homs province to participate in operations at the south and southeastern countryside of Homs

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights were informed by reliable sources that the Russian forces are expanding al-Shayrat airbase in the southeastern countryside of Homs, in addition to fortifying the airbase furthermore in order to use it to launch the Russian warplanes, while the Russian forces are using the T4 airbase located in the eastern countryside of Homs as a base to launch the Russian helicopter, and the sources confirmed to the observatory that the Russian Air Force are using  both airbase the T4 and al-Shayrat as bases for launching the warplanes to participate in operations which take place in the vicinity of Palmyra and its countryside and in the continued clashes in the southeastern countryside of Homs between the “Islamic state” against the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them.
