Dozens of families flee Menbej city

SOHR activists observed the displacement of dozens of families from Menbej city which is taken over by the IS towards its countryside amid fears by IS militants of loosing control on the city what makes them randomly execute a number of detainees, the SOHR documented 9 executions against Syrians citizens who were detained by IS for charges such as ” dealing with the regime, dealing with YPG, dealing with al-Sahwat “. The IS is attempting to convince the civilians that it still controls the city of Menbej and that the life is normal.

SOHR activists were informed that the fears of loosing Menbej city came after the beginning of the military operations of SDF near al-Furat eastern side around Teshrin dam in am attempt to cut the road to al-Raqqa and Aleppo northern eastern countryside amid advances for the regime in the road of Aleppo-Maskna and Kweres military airport what will force the IS to use hidden roads to move between these areas.
