Clashes in the vicinity of the strategic town of Sheikh Meskin

Daraa Province:
Regime’s warplanes carried out 5 raids on areas in al-Sora town and its outskirts, no information about casualties, while the regime forces bombed areas in the city of Nawa, also clashes took place in the vicinity of Sheikh Meskin town between the regime forces supported by Iranian and Hezbollah officers as well as gunmen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic Factions, where the regime forces managed to take over the entire town overnight, and town’s great strategic importance comes because it is located 22 kilometers from Daraa city and it is the connecting point for the rebel and Islamic factions between the towns and cities of Nawa, Dael and Abtaa, it is also of great significance for the for regime forces too, for it is the third defense line for the regime in Damascus, the second defense line of Al-Sanamayn, Mesmiyyeh and Izra’a, and the third defense line  for Zakia and al-Kesweh, it also links the town of Izra’a with Nawa town down to the Ninth Division, it is in the middle of Damascus – Daraa – Oman road, also it links the town of Nawa, Izra’a and Dael, and it is also linking the checkpoints of regime in Qenniyyeh and Faqir , it is in the middle of Daraa, al-Suwaidaa and Al-Quneitra, also the regime forces were able to monitor the surrounding hills in the town of Nawa from the western outskirts of Sheikh Meskin, the town of Sheikh Meskin classified as the fourth largest town in Daraa province, it has a population of about 40 thousand people who were displaced as a result of the heavy bombing by regime’s warplanes and helicopters, in addition to the Russian warplanes and the violent and continuous bombardment by the regime forces, where 70% of the city’s is no longer eligible for housing.
