Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Hezbollah, and Regime forces take control on Retian
Aleppo province: Regime forces backed by Iranian officers and Hezbollah were able to take control on Retian town north of Aleppo after violent clashes against rebels and Jabhat al-Nusra in the town, and targeting the area with heavy bombardment and aerial bombardment by Syrian and Russian warplanes. Regime forces started the attack in the 1st of February and advanced in Dwer al-Zeton, Herdantin, Tal Jabin, Ma’rsa al-Khan, Nubol and al-Zahraa, reaching Retian and securing the road towards Nubol and al-Zahraa. Regime forces lost more than 200 soldiers last year during attempts to secure Nubol and al-Zahraa towns. Reliable sources reported to SOHR that the clashes are still continuing around the western and southern sides of Retian.
