118, including 24 civilians, were killed in five days of military operations in the truce areas

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was able to document the death of 118 people during the first five days of the ceasefire in Syria, in the places which is considered as truce areas, since the 27th of February 2016 and until the 2nd of March 2016, and among the total human losses are 42 fighters from the rebel and Islamic factions as well as 24 civilian citizens, including six children under the age of 18, and five citizen women over the age of 18, and 25 from the regime forces and the forces of NDF, and 27 YPG fighters, Nusra and other Islamic factions.

 

Within the Truce areas

The First Day

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented on the first day of the truce, the death of 17 people in the truce areas, where 15 of them are fighters from the rebel and Islamic factions and 12 of them were killed in the shelling and clashes in the northern countryside of Latakia, and 2 others of them were killed when a shell landed on area in Khan al-Shih in the Western Ghouta and the other one was killed in the clashes in the vicinity of Bala area in the Eastern Ghouta, in addition to a man who was killed by sniper fire in Jobar neighborhood on the outskirts of the capital Damascus, and a child was killed when the Islamic factions targeted sheikh Maqsood neighborhood in Aleppo city.

 

 

The Second Day

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented on the second day of the truce, the death of 16 people, including 4 fighters were killed in the shelling and clashes in the areas near Hirbnafsah village in the southern countryside of Hama, and also 12 citizens, they are:4 children and 3 citizen women were killed in raids by warplanes on al-Hadi Association area in the western countryside of Aleppo, and a man was killed in the bombing by warplane on areas in the town of Qebtan al-Jabal in the western countryside of Aleppo, and a pregnant woman and another citizen woman both were killed when warplanes bombed areas in Jisr al -Shughur city west of Idlib province, and a man with special needs was killed by a sniper bullet in Daraa camp in the city of Daraa, and another man was killed by a sniper on al-Castelo road on the outskirts of Aleppo city.

 

 

The Third Day

On the third day the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 8 fighters from the rebel and Islamic Factions, four of them were killed in clash in the Eastern Ghouta, and the rest were killed in clashes in the northern countryside of Homs, while the observatory did not document the death of any civilian citizen on this day.

 

 

The Fourth Day

In the fourth day, the observatory documented the death of 13 fighters from the rebel and Islamic Factions, they are: 10 fighters were killed in clashes in the area of Hirbnafsah village in the southern countryside of Hama, 1 fighter was killed by a sniper shot in Daraa, and 2 fighters were killed when a missile landed on al-Z’eynieh village at the administrative border between Latakia countryside and the northern countryside Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib province, also 7 civilian citizens were killed; 4 of them killed in the shelling by the regime forces on al-Z’eynieh are at the administrative border between Latakia and Idlib, and a citizen and a child were killed when a missile was launched by the regime forces targeted an area in the village of Al-Mastumah in the countryside of Idlib, and 1 citizen was killed in bombing by the regime forces on places in Zafarana area in the northern countryside of Homs.

 

 

 

The Fifth Day

On the fifth day of the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 2 fighters from the rebel and Islamic factions killed during the shelling and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in the northern countryside of Latakia, and 2 civilians were killed when the Islamic factions shelled areas in Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood which is controlled by YPG in Aleppo, also 1 person from the town of Kefraya was killed by sniper shot in the town.

 

 

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 25 member from the regime forces and the NDF loyal to them during the first five days of the ceasefire, they were killed in the northern countryside of Latakia, in the southern countryside of Hama and in the eastern Ghouta.

 

 

In the northern countryside of Latakia and also during the first five days of the ceasefire 11 fighters from the Islamic Turkestan Party and Jabhat Al-Nusra (al-Qaeda in Levant) were killed.

 

 

Also 5 YPG fighters and 11 fighters from the Islamic factions, Jabhat Al-Nusra (al-Qaeda in Levant) and Caucasians fighters were killed in clashes between both parties in the vicinity of Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood in Aleppo.

 

 

Also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 506 people during the first five days of the ceasefire in Syria but in the areas which are not covered by the truce, where the “Islamic state” exists or in contact with these areas in the provinces of Al-Raqqah, Aleppo, Al –Hasakah, Deir Ezzor, Damascus, Rif Dimashq and the countryside of Hama and Homs and other areas, since the 27th of February until the 2nd of March 2016, and among the total casualties are 18 fighters from Jabhat Thowwar Syria and 6 fighters from the Islamist factions, as well as 49 civilian citizens including 7 children under the age of 18 and 3 citizen women over the age of 18 and 21 people executed by the “Islamic state” and Islamic factions, and 87 members from the regime forces and NDF, and 52 fighters from Syrian Democratic Forces, and 260 member from the “Islamic State” organization, and 13 civilians died affected by injuries they had before the start of the truce.

 

Outside of Truce areas

The First Day

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 26 people; 8 of them were killed in an IED explosion in a car in the countryside of Salamiyyeh city in the east of Hama province, and a man was killed by a landmine exploded under his motorcycle in the village of Om Jern in the countryside of Ras al-Ayn (Sri Kaneh), and 10 people were killed in the town of Tal Abyad and its countryside during the bombardment by Coalition’s warplanes and in the clashes between YPG against the “Islamic state”, and 3 civilians including a child and a citizen woman were killed when shells launched by the organization landed on areas in al-Jura neighborhood in Deir Ezzor, and a man and a child from one family were killed when warplanes bombed areas in the neighborhood of al-Hamidiyyeh in Deir Ezzor city, and 2 men were killed in the bombing by warplane over areas in the town Mhimideh in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 

 

The Second Day

The Observatory documented the death of 2 citizens, a man was killed in the town of al-Dumayr by a sniper shot, where the activists accused a faction close to the “Islamic State” of shooting and killing him, and a citizen woman from the city of al-Bokamal southeast of Deir Ezzor province, she was killed by the bullets of the Turkish border guards in an area at the Syrian – Turkish border.

 

 

 

The Third Day

The Observatory documented the death of 5 citizens: a man was killed in airstrikes by warplanes which targeted the “Islamic State” controlled areas in the neighborhood of al-Hamidiyyeh in Deir Ezzor city, and another man was killed when shells landed on the regime forces controlled areas in Deir Ezzor, and 2 two persons were killed in a mine explosion in south of al-Hasaka city, and a man from the city of Al-Raqqah was killed when a landmine exploded near him in Tal al-Samn area in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah.

 

 

 

 

The Fourth Day

The Observatory documented the death of 4 citizens: a man from the city of Palmyra killed in a fire shot, the activists accused the Jordanian border guards of shooting and killing him while he was attempting to cross the border, and a man from the village of Tal Khaznah killed in a mine explosion, and a man was killed by a gunshot in al-Dumayr city which is witnessing clashes between battalions close to the “Islamic state” against Islamic battalions, and a man from the al-Qosur neighborhood which is under the control of the regime forces in Deir Ezzor, he was killed in the shelling by the “Islamic State” on areas in the neighborhood.

 

 

 

The Fifth Day

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented on the fifth day of the truce the death of 25 people, 18 of them are fighters from Jabhat Thowwar Syria and they were killed in when their headquarter was targeted by a booby trapped vehicle in al-Isheh village at the countryside of Quneitra, and 7 other citizens were killed; they are: a citizen woman and child were killed in the airstrikes by warplanes on areas in the city of Palmyra, and 2 men and a child were killed in the bombing by warplane over areas in the city of Al-Raqqah, and 2 people were killed in an explosion of a landmine planted by the “Islamic state” earlier in the area near al-Ra’ei town in the northern countryside of Aleppo and at the Syrian-Turkish border.

 

 

Also the Observatory documented the death of 5 citizens, they are the 3 children from the city of Douma in Damascus died due to poor health conditions and the lack of necessary treatment and medication, and a child and a man from the town of Madaya and the city of Darayya they died also due to poor health conditions and the lack of necessary treatment and medication.

 

 

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the execution of 5 people, they are: 2 men executed by the Courthouse in Horan in the countryside of Daraa on charges of “Killing and robbery in exchange for money”, and a man was executed by Nusra Front on charges of “belonging to the Islamic state” in the northern countryside of Homs, and 2 men executed by an Islamic faction in Kafr Takharim in the northwestern countryside of Idlib on charges of “cooperating with the regime, and providing the coordinates of headquarters, and planting improvised explosive devices”

 

 

The Observatory also documented the execution of 16 people by the “Islamic State”, they are a brother of an opposition figure from Deir Ezzor, he was executed by the organization in the town of Tal Abyad in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah, and 15 people including a citizen woman were executed by the organization in the town of Hammam al-Turkmans south of Tal Abyad.

 

 

 

Also 140 members at least from the “Islamic State” were killed during their attack on the city of Tal Abyad and its countryside and on the area connecting Mabrouka with Ras al-Ayn (Sri Kaneh) and the outskirts of Ayn Isa in the northwest countryside of Al-Raqqah during the first three days of the Truce, where they were killed in clashes against the Syrian Democratic Forces and in the bombing by the warplanes of the International Coalition, also 20 members were killed during clashes against the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Islamic factions in the countryside of Aleppo and Al-Hasakah and in the south of the capital Damascus.

 

 

47 fighters from The Syrian Democratic Forces were also killed during an attack by the “Islamic State” on the city of Tal Abyad and its countryside and on the area connecting Mabrouka in the countryside of Ras al-Ayn (Sri Kaneh) and the outskirts of Ayn Isa in the northwestern countryside of Al-Raqqah, and 5 members from The Syrian Democratic Forces were killed during the shelling and clashes against the “Islamic state” in the countryside of Aleppo and Hasaka.

 

 

also 100 members from the “Islamic State” were killed during the bombing and raids by the warplanes and the clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in the countryside of Homs, Hama and Aleppo, 58 members of them were killed the road between Aleppo – Khanasser – Athrayya in the southern eastern countryside of Aleppo within The first three days of the truce.

 

 

Also 87 members from the regime forces, Hezbollah and fighters from Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities were killed during clashes against the “Islamic state” on the road between Aleppo – Khanasser – Athrayya in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo during the first three days of the truce and in a the countryside of Hama, Homs and Deir Ezzor, including 33 in the southern eastern countryside of Aleppo only.

 

 

Also 6 fighters from the Islamic factions were killed during the shelling and clashes against the “Islamic state” in al-Dumayr city east of the capital Damascus.

 

 

Also 13 civilians including two children died affected by injuries they had before the start of the truce in the bombardment by warplanes and the shelling by the regime forces and the fall of shells, and other circumstances in several areas of Syria.
