Division 13 evacuate most of its headquarters in the southern countryside of Idlib and clashes between them against Jabhat Al-Nusra and Jund al-Aqsa in Maarrat al-Nu’man area and tension prevails in the area

The activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights were informed by reliable sources that the Division 13 had evacuated most of their headquarters in Khan Shaykhun city in addition to their headquarters in Tal Aas in the southern countryside of Idlib, after a raid by Jabhat Al-Nusra (al-Qaeda in Levant) and members of Jund al-Aqsa on al-Bukhari Brigade of the Division 13 in the village of Hesh in the southern countryside of Idlib, where there was an exchange of fire between both parties which caused injuries, then Jabhat Al-Nusra and Jund al-Aqsa targeted two cars belong to the Brigade by bazookas and captured a number of the Brigade’s members including the brigade commander Capt. Ali al-Salloum who is defected from the regime forces, the sources confirmed that Jabhat Al-Nusra (al-Qaeda in Levant) brought reinforcements to the area and surrounded with Jund al-Aqsa the town Hesh and Maarrat al-Nu’man city in Idlib province until now, and a local sources reported that one of the city’s religious men asked the residents through the loudspeakers of the mosque to get out and build barricades in the center of the city to protect it from the storm of Jund al-Aqsa and al-Nusra, and the sources confirmed that clashes took place between both parties in the town of al-Ghadqa in the countryside of Maarrat al-Nu’man city, also the activists of the Syrian Observatory for human rights in the southern countryside of Idlib monitor Jabhat Al-Nusra and Jund al-Aqsa soldiers establishing several scattered checkpoints in several areas on roads at the southern countryside of Idlib, while the vicinity of Khan Shaykhun is witnessing shooting from a checkpoint established by al-Nusra, and tension still prevail in the area amid fears among the people of what will accrue in the coming hours.

also the activists of the Observatory aware that fierce clash are taking place between Jabhat Al-Nusra and Jund al-Aqsa against members from the Division 13 in the south of Maarrat al-Nu’man, where intense gunshot were heard in the area, but no information about casualties yet, as it is still unknown the fate of several members of the Division 13, and it is unknown whether they are hiding or had been captured by al-Nusra and Jund al-Aqsa.
