Asayish forces prevent celebrations in the eve of Nowruz holiday

The General Command of the Kurdish internal forces “Asayish” issued a statement and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received a copy of it, the statement stated: “With Nowruz holiday is approaching and because of security conditions in Syria and because of the political and military developments in the Middle East, we call on our all brothers citizens in Rojava areas to take responsibilities and to show the required caution and sensitivity which are necessary against any attack that may happen in our areas, therefore we have taken a number of decisions to best serve the security and safety of the Nowruz holiday celebrating in the time which we believe that the people of Rojava will show the necessary cooperation with Asayish Foundation:

  1. Refrain from gathering and celebration in the night Nowruz holiday at (20 March 2016), and Asayish forces will have to intervene to disperse the crowds and gatherings and provide those who organize it to legal repercussions.
  2. Refrain from setting fire inside the cities and the prohibition of gunfire and fireworks.
  3. Motorcycles are not allowed in the city as of Friday morning, 18 / March / 2016 until the morning of Tuesday, 22 / March / 2016″
