ISIS warns the activists in Raqqa province

Trust worthy sources informed the SOHR that the preachers of Arakka mosques, which is under control of ISIS, talked at Friday sermons about the activists who are in charge of “Campaign for Al Raqqa has been slaughtered silently”, and they threatened them by murdering on charges of blasphemy and secularism.

Group of activists have released about ten days ago a campaign called “Al Raqqa has been slaughtered silently” in a reference to the wrong activities of ISIS in Al Raqqa province. The chargers of this campaign said that the objectives of this campaign are ::


— To return the revolution to Al Raqqa after abduction it.

— To highlight Al Raqqa province which are marginalized in media and service.

–To disgrace the violations and crimes of ISIS against Al Raqqa people and get them off.

–To establish a revolutionary structure able to manage the rebellious street in Al Raqqa and to go forward in the way of the revolution until achieving its objectives in word and deed.

The ISIS executed, in the 21th of this April, a man from the city of Al Raqqa on charge of dealing with the regime forces, and at the same time they arrested a commander of a rebel battalion from the city of Al Raqqa during his return from Turkey.

This commander abandoned the fighting against them. In the 18th of this April, two men were killed by bullets from ISIS combatants next to Nazlet Shahade in the city of Al Raqqa when a combatant from ISIS ask a man to extinguish a cigarette but this man refused this, then a fighting took place between them followed by bringing enhancements from ISIS to the area and opening fire on the two men and wounded other 4 men from the area.

In the 17th of April, ISIS carried out a raid to arrest local reporters and activists from the city of Al raqqa, Tal Abyad and from the town of Sewak after releasing a campaign called “ Al Raqqa has been slaughtered silently”. At the same day, ISIS arrested two brothers from their house in the neighborhood of Al Thukne in the city of Al Raqqa. Also, a man was killed by sniper bullet in the village road of Abo Kharze, where the activists accused ISIS to shoot him. In the meantime information signified that ISIS carried out raids and arrests on the town of Ratla, besieged the area , closed the bakeries, and prevented the entry of food to it due to burning ISIS flag by a man .

information signified that ISIS killed a man from the town of Tal Abyad during arrest him. In the 16th of this April, it became clear that the man who was crucified by ISIS and who was accused by killing a man to steal his money was innocent ,where another man confessed to commit this crime. The innocent man was crucified by ISIS in the last of March in the area of Al Sa’a in the city of Al Raqqa then executed him by shooting his head on a charge of killing a Muslim deliberately to steal his money. ISIS arrested in the 11th of this month a local reporter for a channel from the city Der Al Zor during passage from the city of Al Raqqa and going to Turkey.

In the 8th of the same month information talked about an attempt from the combatants of ISIS to arrest a woman from the city of Al Raqqa in a pretext of not wearing veil ‘ nikab’ which led to gather the relatives of this woman who are from a tribe containing lots of combatants who are swear allegiance to ISIS in the city of Al Raqqa, followed by clashes between the relatives and ISIS combatants. At the same day, trustworthy informed SOHR that ISIS prevented 40 female students from travelling outside the city because they are not with Mahrem – the man who cannot marry to .

While these sources told OSHR that ISIS has changed the name of “Office of Preaching” into “Office of Oppressions” which located in the church of Al Arman. In the 4th of this April, ISIS raided a library in the area Abbarat Akar in the city of Al Raqqa and seized all the books in pretext of being secular books.

Kurdish sources informed SOHR in the 2th of this April that ISIS warned the citizens of the villages of Al Shoba, Shat Al Rahman and Al Hjazeyyi in the southern countryside of Tal Abyad city which are inhabited by Kurds, where ISIS reprieved them to the 5th of April to evacuate these villages. We as SOHR condemned the threats of ISIS against the reporters, activists and opposed people.

It is mentioned that the Syrian people, who revolt in the 18th of March in 2011 for the objective to establish the state of democracy, justice, freedom and equality although violence of the repressive apparatus of the Syrian regime, are able to confront any organization, state, movement, or fighting group that violate human rights. As well as, SOHR re-asked to unveil the destiny of the arrested people in the prisons of ISIS specially the lawyer and human right activist Abdullah Al Khalil and the patriarch Bawlo Dalido and to release them directly if they are still alive.
