ISIS militant kills ‘his own brother for spying’ in terror group’s latest disturbing propaganda video

THIS gruesome propaganda footage shows the build-up to an ISIS militant reportedly killing his own brother for spying.

The video, filmed in Iraq, shows two hooded militants bringing two blindfolded men out into a courtyard.

The slick editing – typical of ISIS propaganda videos – places a target on one of the men’s heads and displays the executioners’ names.

One of them, Abu Abdullah, says a prayer in Arabic as the two condemned men kneel.

They are then shot in the head as two other ISIS militants armed with guns look on.

In total, five prisoners were executed in the space of a day, with three being shot and two beheaded.

The terror group has lost several senior members to drone strikes in recent months, prompting a major security review.

Some of the its fighters have been plunged into vats of acid during the recent purge of suspected spies.

In March, a senior commander with ISIS, Abu Hayjaa al-Tunsi, was driving through northern Syria on orders to lead militants in the fighting there when a drone obliterated his vehicle.

In response, around 38 supposed informants were killed in Mosul last month.

Other senior figures wiped out by drones recently include ISIS “Minister of War” Omar al-Shishani and feared Iraqi militant Shaker Wuhayeb, also known as Abu Wahib.

ISIS have suffered a string of military defeats in recent months and are losing strongholds in both Iraq and Syria.

Experts say the terror group are using brutal methods of execution to intimidate other members and to ensure future loyalty.

Rami Abdurrahman, of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said some ISIS fighters began feeding information to the US-led coalition in return for cash after their wages were cut.

He added: “They have executed dozens of fighters on charges of giving information to the coalition or putting GPS chips in order for the aircraft to strike at a specific area.”

A senior Iraqi intelligence official in Baghdad said: “‘Daesh (ISIS) is now concentrating on how to find informers because they have lost commanders that are hard to replace.

“Now any IS commander has the right to kill a person whom they suspect is an informer for the coalition.”
