Syrian refugee in Germany kills one woman, injures two others in stabbing attack

A woman was killed and two others injured Sunday in a machete attack near Stuttgart in Germany, the Independent reported.

Police have arrested a suspect in the small southwestern city of Reutlingen. The man was identified as a 21-year-old Syrian refugee, but police have not released his name.

German newspaper Bild said the man began attacking people outside a kebab shop around 4:30 pm local time. Several witnesses fled in panic.

The motive for the attack is so far unclear.

The machete attack comes shortly after two other attacks set the country on edge this week.

Friday, a teenager killed nine people in a shooting rampage at a mall in Munich, and last week an Afghan teenager attacked train passengers with an axe in Bavaria, wounding five, before being shot dead by police.
