The eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo are witnessing lack of food and medical supplies

The only road which connects the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo that are taken over by rebels is still cut, regime forces backed by allied militiamen and Iranian militants have taken over the Castello road in the 17th of July/2016 cutting the supplpy road for rebels.

SOHR activists observed the difficult humanitarian situation in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo which is witnessing lack of milk, fruits, vegetables, and oil. The prices of Sugar and food supplies have raised, civilians are unable to buy these materials, the area is also witnessing lack of medicine what led several hospitals to stop amid fears of targeting other hospitals which are still functioning.

Regime forces dropped small amounts of food and children supplies on the eastern neighborhoods after regime helicopters dropped explosive barrels on these areas in addition to dropping paper notes about opening 4 humanitarian roads between the eastern neighborhoods and the western neighborhoods
