Factions in Latakia Mountains announce “Battle of Ashura”, start the attack supported with intensive shelling on sites of the regime forces

The northeastern Mountains of Latakia are witnessing intensified shelling by the rebel and Islamic Factions on locations and positions of the regime forces and their controlled areas in Jabal al-Akrad and its surroundings, in preparation of an attack by factions within a battle launched by them and called “Battle of Ashura”, the clashes were accompanied by artillery and missile shelling by the regime forces on sites controlled by the factions, where factions are trying to regain control of areas they lost few weeks ago for the regime and the gunmen loyal to them, and the preliminary shelling was accompanied by the start of a violent attack by the factions on Tallat al-Malek, Byout al-Janzarli and the vicinity of Nahshabba, the factions were able to regain control of Tallat al-Malek and Byout al-Janzarli, and a checkpoint at the outskirts of Nahshabba area, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, and the faction captured one member at least from the regime forces, while the rebel factions targeted a tank for the regime forces in the area of Kinsabba at Jabal al-Akrad, no information about casualties yet.
